Cerulean Speckled Round Casserole

Roast some veggies, enjoy some covered nachos, indulge in a fruit crisp, or bake a large wheel of brie and bring it right to the table. This item also doubles as a serving piece for crackers and cheese, a mound of warm dinners rolls, pilafs, couscous and more. 

This casserole started thrown on the wheel, after which I impressed a spiral in the bottom, added texture to the exterior, formed handles and adhered these to the casserole. After being fired in an electric kiln, I choose this warm bright blue glaze speckled with rich brown to complement the speckled clay.
