Yes! All of the drinkware, dinnerware and serving ware are food safe.

Yes! Any of the rare exceptions will be explicitly noted in the item’s description. However, handwashing is recommended as it will enhance the longevity of the piece. As with any product in the microwave, use care when removing heated ceramics. Stoneware is even oven safe! The oven’s heat is significantly lower than the temperature to which pots are fired in a kiln. The key to using any stoneware in an oven is to put the dish in a cold oven so that the dish and the oven heat together.

See "How to Care for Ceramics" in the Blog posts.

In our production, we use processes that result in next to no wasted clay or water. Trimmings from pots are reclaimed for use in future projects. Water for throwing or washing never goes down the drain but is reused and eventually, once the clay settles, gets siphon off for watering the yard. For shipping, we use compostable packing peanuts that are water-soluble as they are made of corn starch, while any bubble wrap or cardboard may be reused or recycled.

Stoneware is fired at mid to high temperatures which makes the material strong and non-porous. The pieces can be vitrified with glaze, essentially giving them a glass-like layer over the surface.
